10 That is why I write these things while absent, that, when I am present, I may not act with severity+ according to the authority that the Lord gave me, to build up+ and not to tear down.

11 and quit sharing+ with [them] in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness,+ but, rather, even be reproving+ [them],

9 holding firmly to the faithful word as respects his [art of] teaching,+ that he may be able both to exhort by the teaching that is healthful+ and to reprove+ those who contradict.
