17 So I say, I will take you away from affliction+ at the hands of the Egyptians to the land of the Caʹnaan·ites, the Hitʹtites, the Amʹor·ites,+ the Perʹiz·zites, the Hiʹvites, and the Jebʹu·sites,+ to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’+

8 And I will bring you into the land that I swore with an oath* to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as something to possess.+ I am Jehovah.’”+

7 For Jehovah your God is bringing you into a good land,+ a land of streams of water,* springs and fountains* flowing in the valley plain and in the mountainous region, 8 a land of wheat and barley, of grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates,+ a land of olive oil and honey,+ 9 a land where food will not be scarce and you will lack nothing, a land where the stones contain iron and from its mountains you will mine copper.

6 In that day I swore that I would bring them out of the land of Egypt to a land that I had searched out* for them, one flowing with milk and honey.+ It was the most beautiful* of all the lands.
