7 “If one of your brothers becomes poor among you in one of your cities of the land that Jehovah your God is giving you, do not harden your heart or be tightfisted toward your poor brother.+

 5 It goes well for the man who generously* lends.+

He conducts his affairs with justice.

7 For you always have the poor with you,+ and you can do them good whenever you want to, but you will not always have me.+

29 So the disciples determined, each according to what he could afford,+ to send relief+ to the brothers living in Ju·deʹa;

18 Tell them to work at good, to be rich in fine works, to be generous, ready to share,+

17 But whoever has the material possessions of this world and sees his brother in need and yet refuses to show him compassion, in what way does the love of God remain in him?+
