16 Look! They are the ones who by Baʹlaam’s word induced the Israelites to commit unfaithfulness+ toward Jehovah over the affair of Peʹor,+ so that the scourge came upon the assembly of Jehovah.+

8 Neither let us practice sexual immorality, as some of them committed sexual immorality, only to fall, 23,000 of them in one day.+

14 “‘Nevertheless, I have a few things against you, that you have there those adhering to the teaching of Baʹlaam,+ who taught Baʹlak+ to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality.*+
