11 “Happy are you when people reproach* you+ and persecute you+ and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake.+

23 So the multitude got up, one and all, and led him to Pilate.+ 2 Then they began to accuse him,+ saying: “We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding the paying of taxes to Caesar,+ and saying he himself is Christ a king.”+

5 For we have found this man to be a pest,+ stirring up seditions+ among all the Jews throughout the inhabited earth, and he is a spearhead* of the sect of the Naz·a·renesʹ.+ 6 He also tried to profane the temple, so we seized him.+
