SECTION 1
From the Days of the Patriarchs to the Time of the Judges
Printed Edition
In this section we journey through a period of some 22 centuries. We start with Enoch, a patriarch who lived when Adam was still alive, and we come down to the time of the prophet Samuel, who appointed the first king of Israel. On the way, we consider such outstanding examples of courage as Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab, Deborah, and Gideon. Some undertook long, hard journeys fraught with dangers, while others faced the daunting prospect of fighting in “the wars of Jehovah.” All of them showed courage as they fulfilled assignments from their beloved God.
