(Hoʹsah).

1. A Merarite gatekeeper for the tent in which the ark of the covenant was put by David. (1Ch 16:1, 37, 38) He and his sons made up a division of gatekeepers assigned to the Shallecheth Gate on the W of the sanctuary.​—1Ch 26:10-19.

2. A city in Asher apparently near Tyre, but otherwise unknown.​—Jos 19:24, 29, 30.
