LUCIUS

(Luʹcius) [from a Lat. root meaning “light; illumination”].

1. A man of Cyrene who was associated with the Antioch, Syria, congregation when Paul set out from there on his first missionary journey.​—Ac 13:1-3.

2. A Christian “relative” of Paul who was with him in Corinth during his third missionary tour when the apostle wrote his letter to the Romans. Lucius joined in sending greetings to Christians in Rome.​—Ro 16:21.
