What to Say About the Magazines

The Watchtower March 1

“There are conflicting opinions about Jesus. Do you view him as God’s son or as just a good man?” Allow for response. Then read together the material under one of the bold questions on pages 16-17 and one of the cited scriptures. Offer the magazines, and arrange to return to consider the answer to the next question.

Awake! March

When meeting a young person, show the article that begins on page 26. Point to the first subheading and ask, “Would you say these statements are true or false? [Allow for response. Then read 2 Corinthians 7:1.] This discusses what you need to know about smoking, including how to quit.”

The Watchtower April 1

“Many people hold widely varying beliefs about Jesus. Do you think that it is important to know the truth about him? [Allow for response. Then read John 17:3.] This magazine explains what the Bible says about Jesus—where he came from, how he lived, and why he died.”

Awake! April

“Would you agree that losing a loved one in death is one of the most difficult experiences a human can face? [Allow for response.] Many have found this advice helpful. [Read Psalm 55:22.] This magazine discusses some practical ways to cope with grief, including how to throw our burden on God.”
