d Volume 9 of M’Clintock and Strong’s Cyclopædia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature deals with the “Seventy Weeks of Daniel’s Prophecy,” and on page 602, under the heading “1. The Date of the Edict,” it says: “We have supposed this to be from the time of its taking effect at Jerusalem rather than from that of its nominal issue at Babylon. The difference, however (being only four months), will not seriously affect the argument.”
