Barnabas and Saul taught there for a year, and “it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.” Jehovah no doubt directed that they be called such, since the Greek word khre·ma·tiʹzo means “to be called by divine providence” and is always used Scripturally in connection with what is from God.
