In February 1950 two Gilead graduates, Wallace Endres and John Bruton from the United States, arrived in the country. Brother Endres replaced aging Brother Harteva as branch overseer.

And when Brother Endres returned to his home country in 1957 because of family obligations, Brother Kankaanpää was appointed as branch overseer.
