Jesse bring six moa of his boys to Samuel. But Samuel tell: ‘Jehovah neva pick any of dem. Az all da boys you get, or wat?’ Jesse tell: ‘I get one moa kid, my younges boy David. He stay out dea taking kea da sheep.’ Wen David come in, Jehovah tell Samuel: ‘Dass da guy, he da one!’ So Samuel pour oil on top David’s head fo show dat Jehovah wen pick him fo be da nex Israel king.
Layta on, da Israel peopo wuz fighting wit da Filisha guys. Da Filisha guys had one strong, humangus soldier named Goliat. Ery day, Goliat wen keep egging dem on fo beef. He yell to da Israel peopo: ‘So wat, who like scrap wit me? If yoa guy win, we goin be yoa slave. But if I win, you guys goin be oua slave.’
Had one time David wen bring some food fo his braddahs who wuz soldiers at da Israel army camp. Wen David had hea Goliat calling dem out, he sed: ‘I go fight him.’ Den King Saul tell: ‘You jus one young kid.’ But David tell: ‘Garanz Jehovah get my back.’
Saul wuz goin let David use his armor. But David tell: ‘I no can fight in dis.’ David wen take his sling an go to da stream. He pick up five smooth stones an put um in his bag. Den David run to wea Goliat wuz. Dat big bully yell: ‘Try come hea, litto boy! I goin kill you an feed you to da birds an da wild animals.’ David no wuz sked. He wen yell back: ‘You stay come at me wit one sword an one big spear. But me, I come fo rep Jehovah. Brah, you no stay fighting us, you stay fighting agains God. You watch, Jehovah goin make us win ova all you guys. Erybody goin kno dat He moa strong den yoa sword an spear.’
David put one stone in his sling an wen swing um aroun az hahd az he could. Jehovah had make shua dat da stone wen hit da target dead on. Da stone sink deep inside Goliat’s forehead. David An Saul
Afta David kill Goliath, King Saul put him in charge of his army. David had win plenny wars an da peopo wen really like him. Weneva David had come home from da war, da wahines would come outside, dancing an singing: ‘Saul wack down tousans of guys, an David wack down ten tousans of guys!’ Saul come real jealous of David an wen like kill him.
One day, David wuz playing music fo Saul. David play da harp real good. All of a sudden, Saul had throw his spear fo pin him to da wall. David wen dodge da spear so da ting miss an hit da wall. Plenny times afta dat, Saul try fo kill David again. So David run away an hide in da desert.
Saul take 3,000 army guys an go looking fo David. Somehow, he wen end up in da same cave wea David an his guys wuz hiding. David’s men wispa: ‘Dis oua chance! Go kill him.’ David sneak behind Saul an cut off one piece of his robe, an Saul neva even feel um. But afta he did dat, David wen feel real bad cuz he neva show respeck fo da king Jehovah wen pick. So he tell his guys fo no touch Saul. Afta Saul leave da cave, David come out an yell: ‘I had da chance fo kill you, but I neva.’ So wat, you tink Saul wen still like kill David afta dat?
Yeah, he had still try fo hunt David down. One night, David an his nephew Abishai wen sneak into Saul’s camp. Saul’s bodyguard, Abner, wuz crashed out. So Abishai tell: ‘Dis iz it! Let me kill Saul.’ David tell: ‘No way! Jehovah goin deal wit Saul. We go jus take his spear an his watta jug an dig out.’
David go to one lookout up da mountain wea he could see Saul’s camp. He yell: ‘Abner, how come you neva proteck yoa king? Try look, I get Saul’s watta an spear!’ Saul could tell dat wuz David talking. He tell David back: ‘You coulda kill me but you neva. Now I kno fo shua dat you goin be da nex king fo Israel.’ Den Saul go back home. But you kno wat, not erybody in Saul’s ohana wen hate David.
