5 The king of As·syrʹi·a invaded the entire land, and he came to Sa·marʹi·a and laid siege to it for three years.

10 “This is what King Sen·nachʹer·ib of As·syrʹi·a says, ‘In what are you trusting that you remain in Jerusalem while it is besieged?+

13 Do you not know what I and my forefathers did to all the peoples of the lands?+ Were the gods of the nations of the lands able to rescue their land from my hand?+
