LESSON 22
Faa Maa Wɔlɔ-Wɔlɔgi E Ɣɛɛni Yuwu La
Soon Pharaoh hear that the Israelite dem na leave Egypt, he change his mind about sending them away. He tell his soldier dem say: ‘Get all my war chariot dem ready and let run behind them! We wor not suppose to let them go.’ He and his soldiers start running behind the Israelite dem.
Jehovah wor using the cloud in the day and the fire in the night to direct his people. When they reach to the Red Sea, He tell them to build camp there.
Then the Israelite dem see Pharaoh and his army running behind them. They wor not able to run because, they wor between the sea and the Egyptian soldier dem. They start crying on Moses: ‘We coming die! You suppose to leave us in Egypt.’ But Moses tell dem say: ‘Yor must not be scare. Yor just wait and see how Jehovah will save us.’ Moses really put his trust in Jehovah, ehn that true?
Jehovah tell the Israelite dem to leave the camp and go. That night, Jehovah move the cloud and put it between the Egyptians and the Israelite dem. Darkness wor on the Egyptians side, but the Israelite dem side wor having light.
Jehovah tell Moses to stretch his hand over the sea. Then He made one strong breeze to blow the whole night. The sea divide into two, then road wor in the middle for the Israelites to pass. The Israelite dem wor plenty, and all of them walk on dry ground in the middle of the water to go to the other side.
Pharaoh and his soldier dem follow the Israelites on the road that wor in the middle of the water. Then Jehovah made all the soldier dem confuse. The wheels that wor on the war chariots start falling down. The soldier dem start shouting: ‘Let move from here! Jehovah fighting for them.’
Jehovah tell Moses say: ‘Stretch your hand over the sea.’ Right away, all the water cover the Egyptians soldier dem. Pharaoh and all his men dem die. None of them survive.
On the other side of the sea, the Israelite dem wor singing and praising God, they wor saying: “Sing to Jehovah, for he has become highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.” While the people wor singing, the women dem wor dancing and playing tambourine. Everybody wor happy because they wor free now.
“So that we may be of good courage and say: ‘Jehovah is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’”—Hebrews 13:6
