LESSON 56

Joosaiya Ɣɛni Wõini Ga Gala Daa Woi

Josiah became king for Judah when he wor eight years old. During that time, the people use to play magic and worship false gods. When Josiah wor 16 years old, he start learning how to worship Jehovah the right way. When he wor 20 years old, he start destroying the false gods and altar dem that wor in the land. And when Josiah wor 26 years old, he arrange for them to fix Jehovah temple.

The high priest Hilkiah find the scroll God Law wor on in the temple. Maybe that the scroll that Moses write. The king secretary, Shaphan, carry the scroll to Josiah and he start reading it in loud voice. While Josiah wor listening, he get to know that the people wor not obeying Jehovah for plenty years. Then King Josiah tell Hilkiah say: ‘Jehovah really vex with us. Go talk with Jehovah and he will tell us wetin we must do.’ Jehovah answer them through one woman name Huldah. She use to prophesy. Jehovah say: ‘The people of Judah na forget about me. I will punish them but it will not be under Josiah rule, because he bring hisself down.’

Hilkiah find the scroll that wor having Jehovah Law on it

When King Josiah hear the message, he go to the temple and call the people in Judah together. Then he read Jehovah Law in loud voice to the whole nation. Josiah and the people promise to obey Jehovah with their whole heart.

The people in Judah wor not celebrating the Passover for plenty years na. But when Josiah read the Law that they suppose to celebrate the Passover every year, he tell the people say: ‘We will celebrate the Passover to Jehovah.’ Then Josiah prepare plenty sacrifice and he arrange for some people to start singing to the temple. Then the people celebrate the Passover. After that, they celebrate the Festival of Unleaven Bread, and it use to go for seven days. Since Samuel time, the people not celebrate any Passover like that. Josiah really use to love God Law. You can enjoy learning about Jehovah?
