GUI 30 My Father, My God and Friend

“Tɔ Ga Faa Vagɔ Ga [De] Lɔtɔ Gala Ba”

“Kɛ nɛ dɛɛ, tɔ ga faa vagɔ ga ge lɔtɔ Gala ba.”—PS. 73:28.

WHAT THE MAIN POINT?

We will learn how we can draw more close to Jehovah and how we can benefit when we do it.

1-2. (a) Zɛɓɛi nu ɣa kɛ ga e siɛ-pulu ɓɔɔɓɔɔ maa zɔlɔwo? (b) Zɛɓɛi de vaazu yɛpɛzu e vile ba kɔlɔ zɛvɛi nii zu?

YOU get close friend? How you made friend with that person? Maybe you spend time with the person, you learn about the thing dem he pass through in life, the thing dem he like and the thing dem he not like. You see some good-good ways in the person that you want get and it make you to love the person.

2 It can take time and effort to get close to somebody. That the same way it can take time and effort to get close friendship with Jehovah. So, this article will help us to see how we can draw more close to our God and the benefits we can get when we do it. But first, let talk about the benefits we can get.

3. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ maa nɛɛ de ɣi-gaa-ziɛ kulo su-nu-mai ma da zɔlɔwo ani da lɔtɔna Jehova va? Po-kɔ̃ɔ-ma ʋe.

3 We sure that you agree that it good to draw close to Jehovah. But when we think on why it good to do it, it can make us to continue drawing more close to him. (Ps. 63:6-8) For example, we know that eating good food, doing exercise, resting good-good, and drinking plenty water good for us. But plenty people can’t really think about this thing dem, so they can forget about their health. But the more we think about how this thing dem can benefit us, that the more we will continue to do them. That the same way we know that drawing close to Jehovah good for us. But when we think on the benefit dem we will get, it can make us to continue drawing more close to him.—Ps. 119:27-30.

4. E ɣɛ velei Psalm 73:28 boga la, zɛɓɛi gui loo nui nii ɣɛni ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu ma?

4 Read Psalm 73:28. The person who write Psalm 73 wor Levite and they appoint him to be musician in Jehovah temple. It look like he been serving Jehovah for plenty years. But, he still wanted to remind hisself and other people that it wor good for him and them to continue drawing close to God. Let see some of the benefit dem we will get when we do it.

DA ’LƆTƆNA GALA BA’ TƆWA VA GA KUUZU NƐƐ

5. (a) Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ da lɔtɔna Jehova va da kuuzu nɛɛ maa zɔlɔwo? (b) E ɣɛ velei Proverbs 2:6-16 boga la, po-kɔ̃ɔ-ma ʋe e dɛɛzu ga velei da wulo la Jehova na kele-ɣelegi ɓɔga na maazu vɛtɛgi zu-nu-ma.

5 The more we draw close to Jehovah, that the more we will be happy. (Ps. 65:4) We get plenty reasons for believing this one. For example, we can benefit when we do the thing dem the Bible say. And the thing dem the Bible say can protect us from anything that can harm us and from making serious mistakes. (Read Proverbs 2:6-16.) That the reason why the Bible say: “Happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man who acquires discernment.”—Prov. 3:13.

6. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛni gui loo nui nii wuuzu lɛ ɣɛni sa nɛɛni?

6 But even Jehovah friend dem can be sad sometime. The person who write Psalm 73 wor feeling sad when he start thinking that some thing dem wor not fair. He get vex and jealous because he wor thinking that people who not get time for God or His laws, wor enjoying life. He wor having the wrong thinking that violent and proud people wor always rich, alright in their body, and wor not suffering. (Ps. 73:3-7, 12) The psalmist wor feeling so bad that certain time, he start thinking whether he wor getting any benefit from serving Jehovah. So he say: “Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and washed my hands in innocence.”—Ps. 73:13.

7. Ani de yii ɣa zuulina, da leve ɣɛ le de kuuzu nɛɛ maa zɔlɔwo wɔnɔ? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va e kɔlɔi wuluvɛ.)

7 The psalmist not allow the way he wor feeling sad to stop him from serving Jehovah. He do something about it. He “entered the grand sanctuary of God,” and that where Jehovah correct his thinking. (Ps. 73:17-19) When we feeling sad, our best Friend Jehovah can know. If we pray to him and accept the help he give through his Word the Bible and the congregation, we will get the strength to bear it. Even when we worrying too much, Jehovah will comfort us and make our heart to lay down.—Ps. 94:19.a

DA ’LƆTƆNA GALA BA’ TOWA KI-TO FE DE YA NA ƔA ƔƐƐNA DA WULO DA ŊETEAI ZU-NU-MA

8. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ e ga faa vagɔ ga de lɔtɔ Gala ba?

8 We can get two other important benefits when we draw close to God. (1) It can make our life better now-now. (2) It can give us real hope for the future. (Jer. 29:11) Let talk about this two benefit dem good-good.

9. Da lɔtɔna Gala ba towa ɓɔ de va ɣɛ le ga de wulo da ŋeteai zu-nu-ma?

9 Drawing close to Jehovah can make our life better now-now. Plenty people today feel that God not real person. So they not know why human being on earth and they believe that in the future, no human being will be living again. But the thing dem we study from the Bible na convince us that God “is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.” (Heb. 11:6) So even today, we living happy life because we serving our Father Jehovah, and that what he made us for.—Deut. 10:12, 13.

10. Zɛɓɛi Psalm 37:29 boga e vile niitiɛ va te ɣi-togɛi Jehova va?

10 Plenty people today not get real hope for the future. So they can only work, get family, and save some money for their old age. They not even get time for God business. But we Jehovah people, can put all our hope on him. (Ps. 25:3-5; 1 Tim. 6:17) We trust our God and Friend and we know that he will do all the thing dem he promise to do for us. And one of them, that to help us to worship him forever in Paradise.—Read Psalm 37:29.

11. Da lɔtɔna Gala ba towa ɓɔ de va ɣɛ le, tɔwɔ Jehova ɣa ɣi-gaa-ziɛ ɣɛ le e vile ba?

11 When we draw close to God, we can get plenty other benefits. For example, Jehovah say he will forgive people who repent and trying their best to get close to him. (Isa. 1:18) Because of that, our conscience can’t be beating us because of the sins we commit in the past. (Ps. 32:1-5) And we can make Jehovah happy when we draw close to him. (Prov. 23:15) So maybe, you can think about plenty other benefits you will get when you be close to God. But how you can continue drawing close to God?

DA LEVE ƔƐ LE DIƐ “LƆTƆ GALA BA”

12. Zɛɓɛi sa e kɛɛ ga e lɔtɔ Gala ba?

12 If you baptize Christian, you already na do some thing dem to draw close to Jehovah. For example, you na learn plenty things about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ and repent from your sins. You na also show that you get strong faith in God and you trying your best to do the thing dem he say. But to draw more close to God, we must continue doing this thing dem.—Col. 2:6.

13. Faa saagɔ zɛɓɛi ya ɓɔ de va ga diɛ lɔtɔ Jehova va?

13 Wetin will help us to continue drawing more close to Jehovah? (1) We must continue to read and study the Bible. When we reading the Bible, we must not just focus on learning things about God. But, we must try to understand what God want us to do and live by what the Bible say. (Eph. 5:15-17) (2) We must make our faith strong by thinking on the different-different way dem Jehovah na show that he love us. (3) We must continue to hate the thing dem that Jehovah hate and avoid making friend with people who can do them.—Ps. 1:1; 101:3.

14. E ɣɛ velei bogɛi la 1 Kɔlĩitiɛ 10:31 zu, faa taniga ta ga zɛɓɛ da kɛ folo nɛpɛ ga ya Jehova yii-la? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

14 Read 1 Corinthians 10:31. It good for us to always do the thing dem that can make Jehovah happy. That mean, we must not only go field service or go to meeting. But the thing dem we can do everyday must make Jehovah happy. For example, when we fair in everything and share what we get with other people, it can make Jehovah happy. (2 Cor. 8:21; 9:7) He also want us to show that we really respect life. So, we must be careful about how much food we eat, the amount of liquor we drink, and how we take care of our health. Anything we do to make Jehovah happy, even if we think it small, will draw us more close to him.—Luke 16:10.

Collage: Yeh some way dem we can make Jehovah happy: 1. Driving safely: The brother driving his car and he stop when the red light come on. 2. Taking care of ourself: The brother walking outside. 3. Eating good food: Good-good food dem in the pan. 4. Sharing with other people: The sister bring flowers and food to the older sister who hand hurting.

Yeh some way dem we can make Jehovah happy: Driving safely, taking care of ourself by doing exercise and eating good food, and sharing with other people (See paragraph 14)

15. Jehova wõini diɛ numaa zo ɣɛ le?

15 Jehovah kind to everybody, whether they serving him or not. (Matt. 5:45) So he want us to treat other people the same way too. For example, we must “speak injuriously of no one, not to be quarrelsome, . . . displaying all mildness toward all men.” (Titus 3:2) That mean, we must not think that we better pass other people just because they not Jehovah Witness. (2 Tim. 2:23-25) We will continue to draw more close to Jehovah if we kind to everybody.

DA ZOO DƐ DE “LƆTƆ GALA BA” ANI ƁALAA DA ZIƔINA PELE VA

16. Nui e Psalm 73 wonɛni e ɣɛni ɣi-gaa-ziɛzu ɣɛ le tei siɛgi ta leveni?

16 Suppose you start feeling that you not fit to get Jehovah love? From what we na talk about, that the same thing happen to the person who write Psalm 73. He say: “My feet had almost strayed; my steps had nearly slipped.” (Ps. 73:2) He hisself agree that he wor “sour” and “unreasoning” “like a senseless beast” before Jehovah. (Ps. 73:21, 22) But you think he continue to allow the wrong way he wor thinking to make him feel that he not fit to get Jehovah love?

17. (a) Velei ɓalaa gui loo nui nii ziɣini la pele va zɛɓɛi e ɣaa ɓaani ga e kɛ? (b) Zɛɓɛi da maa woli na po-kɔ̃ɔ-mai zu? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

17 If the psalmist wor feeling that Jehovah na turn his back on him, it wor just for short time. Even when he wor really feeling sad, he know that he still suppose to draw close to God. So he say: “But now I am continually with you [Jehovah]; you have taken hold of my right hand. You guide me with your advice, and afterward you will lead me to glory.” (Ps. 73:23, 24) We ourself too must ask Jehovah to make us strong when we feeling weak or discourage. (Ps. 73:26; 94:18) Even if we make serious mistake, we can still come back to Jehovah and be sure that he “ready to forgive.” (Ps. 86:5) So when we really feeling sad, that the main time we must draw more close to our God.—Ps. 103:13, 14.

Collage: 1. The brother sitting down on the bed feeling discourage. 2. Later on, he smiling with one brother and his wife who speaking to him to the meeting.

When we feel that our faith getting weak, we must draw close to Jehovah by doing more for him (See paragraph 17)
