Nu Niinɛitiɛ—A Vile Maki Ɓɔga Temete Ta Wo-Kɔ̃ɔ-Mai Zu

“Maki ziɣi wa tɔ wo va, zaɓui ɣa ga kɛɛzu ɓakpavɛ na tii-ɣɛɛ ʋai ma màʋaa ma.”—2 TEM. 4:11.

WHAT THE MAIN POINT?

We will learn how Mark and Timothy example can help young brothers to get the quality dem they need to do more for their brother and sister dem.

1-2. Fai taniga ta ga zɛɓɛ tɔ kɛ ga Maki ɓɔga Temete tɛ lɛ ɓɛga tii lamaa ɣɛ ga de ɓɔ te ɣaa yɔwɔ̃itiɛ va?

YOUNG brothers, yor want do more for Jehovah and for the brother and sister dem in yor congregation? We sure yor want do it. We really happy to see plenty young brothers who willing to serve their brother and sister dem! (Ps. 110:3) But some thing dem can make it hard for you to do it. You can be scare to do more for Jehovah because you not know what will happen in the future? You na refuse to do certain assignment because you feel you not able to do it good? If so, you not the first person to feel like that.

2 That the same way Mark and Timothy use to feel. But they not allow the way they wor feeling to stop them from doing more for Jehovah and their brothers and sisters. Maybe Mark wor living with his ma and wor living good life when the apostle Paul and Barnabas invite him to go with them on their first missionary trip. (Acts 12:12, 13, 25) But Mark leave all that good-good thing dem behind to do more for Jehovah. First, he move to Antioch. Then, he went with Paul and Barnabas to other far-far place dem. (Acts 13:1-5) Maybe that the same way Timothy wor living with his parents when Paul invite him to join him in the preaching work. Since Timothy wor young and not get experience, maybe he wor coming allow it to stop him from going with Paul. (Compare 1 Corinthians 16:10, 11 and 1 Timothy 4:12.) But he agree to go with Paul. And because of that, he enjoy plenty blessings. —Acts 16:3-5.

3. (a) Pɔɔ dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga kuuzu nɛɛ e ɣɛ tii nii ʋaa ma Temete ɓɔga Maki te kɛɛni? (2 Temete 4:6, 9, 11) (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footeitiɛ va.) (b) Gaa-zaɣa-kɛɛ taniga ta ga zɛɓɛ de vaazu gaa wotesu?

3 Mark and Timothy learn to do plenty important assignment dem in the congregation, even though they wor young. Paul value this young men dem so much that later on when he know that he wor coming die, he wanted them to be near him. (Read 2 Timothy 4:6, 9, 11.) What qualities Mark and Timothy show that make Paul to really like them? How young brother dem can follow their example? And how young brother dem can benefit from Paul advice?

Collage: 1. Mark fixing food and other thing dem for Paul and Barnabas. 2. Timothy reading the letter to the elder dem and they listening good-good.

The way Mark and Timothy wor willing to work hard when they wor young, made Paul to love them (See paragraph 3)b

VILE MAKI WƆWƆ-WOGI ZU—DƐ GA E WÕINI E BƆ E ƔAA YƆWƆ̃ITIƐ VA

4-5. Maki dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga e ɣɛni wõini e ɓɔ kaa yɔwɔ̃itiɛ va?

4 To serve other people mean to work hard to help them, and to continue helping them even when it hard to do it. And that just what Mark do. When Paul refuse to carry him on his second missionary trip, maybe Mark wor feeling bad. (Acts 15:37, 38) But it not discourage him from doing more for his brother and sister dem.

5 Mark went with his cousin Barnabas to serve in different area. After 11 years, Mark wor among the people who support Paul the first time he wor in jail in Rome. (Philem. 23, 24) In fact, Paul wor really grateful for the thing dem Mark do for him. So he say Mark wor “a source of great comfort.”—Col. 4:10, 11.

6. Kulo su-nu-ma zɛɓɛi ɣa Maki maa zɔlɔwoni tei ta kaa yɔwɔ̃itiɛ te siɛ ziɣini kii-ma? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa nii va ponɛi bu.)

6 Mark really benefit from making friend with mature Christians. After he spend some time with Paul in Rome, Mark join the apostle Peter in Babylon. The two of them friendship wor really thick, so Peter call him “Mark, my son.” (1 Pet. 5:13) When they use to be working together, maybe Peter use to tell him plenty interesting thing dem about Jesus and his preaching work. Later on, Mark wor able to write some of this thing dem in the book of Mark.a

7. De ɣaa yɔwɔ̃i Seung-Woo vileni ɣɛ le Maki na po-kɔ̃ɔ-mai zu? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

7 Mark continue to do more for Jehovah and he always try to be close to the mature brother dem. How you can follow Mark example? If you not get certain privilege that you really want, be patient and continue looking for other ways to do more for Jehovah and the congregation. Let take for example Seung-Woo, who serving as elder now-now. When he wor young, he use to compare hisself with other young brother dem. Some of them get assignment before him. Seung-Woo wor feeling that the elder dem wor overlooking him, so he tell some mature brother dem about it. One elder tell him how he can do more even if other people not see what he doing. Seung-Woo listen to the advice. He start helping old people and other people who need help to go to the meetings. When he think about his experience, he say: “Now I understand what it really mean to serve other people. I na see the happiness that can come from doing small-small things to help other people.”

How young brother dem can benefit when they always spend time with mature brothers? (See paragraph 7)

VILE TEMETE WƆWƆ-WOGI ZU—DƐ GA E ƁƐDƐVƐ NUMAA ƲAA MA

8. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ Pɔɔ yee ɓadoni Temete va ga e vɛɛ ba ? (Felepaitiɛ 2:19-22)

8 Paul needed somebody who wor brave to be with him when he wor going back to the city dem where they persecute him. First, he choose one mature Christian name Silas to go with him. (Acts 15:22, 40) And later on, Paul choose Timothy to go with him too. Wetin make Paul to choose Timothy? One reason that because Paul hear good-good things about Timothy. (Acts 16:1, 2) Also, Timothy really use to care about other people.—Read Philippians 2:19-22.

9. Temete dɛɛni ɣɛ le ga kpɛdɛɛ e ɣɛni ɓɔɔ kaa yɔwɔ̃itiɛ ma?

9 From the time Timothy start preaching with Paul, he show that he really care for other people more than hisself. For that reason, Paul leave Timothy in Beroea to encourage the new disciple dem because he wor sure that Timothy wor able to do it. (Acts 17:13, 14) During that time, Timothy learn plenty things from Silas, who stay in Beroea. But later on, Paul send Timothy by hisself to go to Thessalonica to encourage the brother and sister dem in that city. (1 Thess. 3:2, ftn.) For the next 15 years, Timothy learn to “weep with those who [wept],” and he also use to put hisself in other people shoes when they suffering. (Rom. 12:15; 2 Tim. 1:4) How young brother dem can follow Timothy example?

10. De ɣaa yɔwɔ̃i Woo Jae leveni ɣɛ le e dɛ ga kpɛdɛɛvɛ kaa yɔwɔ̃itiɛ ʋaa ma?

10 One brother name Woo Jae learn to show more interest in other people. When Woo Jae wor young man, it use to be hard for him to lecture with older brothers and sisters. He just use to speak to them and pass when he meet them to the Kingdom Hall. So one elder show Woo Jae how he can start lecturing with people. He say he can start by telling them what he like about them. The elder also encourage him to think about what the other person get interest in. Woo Jae use to follow this advice anytime he around other people. Today, Woo Jae that elder. He say: “It easy now for me to lecture with people from different-different age group. I happy now that I able to understand what other people going through. This one na make it easy for me to help my brother and sister dem.”

11. Nu niinɛitiɛ ta dɛ ɣɛ le ga te ɓɛdɛvɛ te ɣaa yɔwɔ̃itiɛ ʋaa ma kuuwui zu? (Wɛlɛ ɓalaa footei va.)

11 Young brothers, you can also learn to show interest in other people. When you go to the meetings, show that you get interest in people from different-different age group and backgrounds. Ask them how they doing, and listen to them. This one will help you to know how you can help them. Maybe you will see that one older brother and his wife need help to use the JW Library® app. Or maybe you will see that they not get anybody to carry them field service. You think you able to help them to use their phone or tablet, or work with them in the field service? When you take upon yourself to help other people, you will be setting good example for everybody.

Young brothers can help to do plenty different-different thing dem for the congregation (See paragraph 11)

YA WULO PƆƆ NA TƐNƐGOI ZU-NU-MA

12. Tɛnɛgoi nii Pɔɔ feeni Temete ya nu niinɛitiɛ ta wulo ɣɛ le su-nu-ma?

12 Paul gave Timothy good-good advice to help him to be successful in his life and in the ministry. (1 Tim. 1:18; 2 Tim. 4:5) Young brothers, how yor can benefit from Paul advice? Read the two letters Paul write to Timothy just like he write it to you, and see how you can apply the advice in your life. Let look at some examples.

13. Zɛɓɛi da kɛ ga wõila ɓɔɔɓɔɔ ge ɣɛ de ya Jehova ʋaa ma?

13 “Train yourself with godly devotion as your aim.” (1 Tim. 4:7b) What godly devotion mean? It mean to stick to Jehovah and do the thing dem that can make him happy. Since we not born with this quality, we need to learn it. How? When the apostle Paul say “train yourself,” he use one word that carry the idea of somebody who can play sports, practicing hard for competition. The person need to be able to control theirself. We too need to be able to control ourself so we can get good-good qualities that will help us to draw close to Jehovah.

14. Zɛɓɛi maa nɛɛ de pɛɛ ɣibɛ ani da ɣɛna Gala Kɔlɔi lodosu? Po-kɔ̃ɔ fe.

14 Anytime you reading the Bible, remember, your main reason for doing it that to draw more close to Jehovah. For example, think about what you can learn from what happen between Jesus and the rich young man? (Mark 10:17-22) The young man believe that Jesus wor the Messiah, but he wor not having strong faith to follow him. But still Jesus “love him.” Ehn the way Jesus talk with this young man touch your heart? It clear that Jesus wanted him to make good decision. Jesus wor also showing that Jehovah love this young man. (John 14:9) When you think about this story and your situation, ask yourself, ‘Wetin I can do to draw more close to Jehovah and do more for other people?’

15. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ maa nɛɛ nu niinɛitiɛ te po-kɔ̃ɔ-ma vagɔ zei? Po-kɔ̃ɔ fe. (1 Temete 4:12, 13)

15 “Become an example to the faithful ones.” (Read 1 Timothy 4:12, 13.) Paul not only encourage Timothy to get skill dem like reading and teaching, but also to get quality dem like love, faith, and to be clean. Why? Because action speak louder than words. Suppose they give you one talk on how to get zeal for the field service? Ehn it will be easy for you to give the talk if you can do your best in the field service? Your good example will encourage the brother and sister dem to do what you say.—1 Tim. 3:13.

16. (a) Faa looluoitiɛ ta ga zɛɓɛ maa nɛɛ nu niinɛitiɛ te po-kɔ̃ɔ-ma zeizu? (b) Nu niinɛ ɣaa leve ɣɛ le e po-kɔ̃ɔ-ma zei “zɛpɛ velei zu”?

16 In 1 Timothy 4:12, Paul talk about five ways young brother can set good example. It will be good for you to study about each of them when you doing your personal study. For example, suppose you want set good example “in speaking?” Think about what you can say to encourage other people. If you still living with your parents, you not think it will good to always tell them thank you for what they doing for you? After the meetings, you think you can tell somebody thank you for their part on the meeting? Maybe you can also give comments in your own words during the meetings. When you try your best to set good example in speaking, it will show that you making spiritual progress.—1 Tim. 4:15.

17. Zɛbɛi ya ɓɔ nu niinɛ va e niitiɛ ɣɛ e deʋea ga e kɛ Jehova ʋeli ʋai zu? (2 Temete 2:22)

17 “Flee from youthful desires, but pursue righteousness.” (Read 2 Timothy 2:22.) Paul tell Timothy to stay far from anything that can spoil his friendship with Jehovah and stop him from doing more for Him. Maybe you will be doing some thing dem that not wrong, but it will not give you time to do more for Jehovah. For example, think about the amount of time you can spend playing sports, going on the Internet, or playing video games. You not think you can use some of that time to do more for Jehovah? Maybe you can help to take care of your Kingdom Hall or do cart witnessing. If you help to do this thing dem, you will make friends with people who will help you to set spiritual goals and reach them.

YA TUUYIƐ MAA ZƆLƆWO ANI YA ƁƆ NA NUMAA VA

18. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ da ɣɛ tea Maki ɓɔga Temete te kuuzu nɛɛ ɓɔɔɓɔɔ maa zɔlɔwoni ta ŋetea zu?

18 Mark and Timothy made plenty sacrifice to do more for other people. And because of that, they enjoy plenty blessings and wor happy. (Acts 20:35) Mark travel to different-different areas to help his brother and sister dem. He also write interesting story about Jesus life and ministry. Timothy help Paul to form new-new congregations and to encourage the brother and sister dem. It clear that Jehovah wor happy with the sacrifice dem Mark and Timothy wor making.

19. Zɛɓɛi e kɛɛ maa nɛɛ nu niinɛitiɛ te ziɛ ga tɛnɛgi Pɔɔ feeni Temete ya tɔwɔ ta wulo ɣɛ le su-nu-ma?

19 The letter dem Paul write to his young friend Timothy show that he really love him. This letter dem also show that Jehovah really love all the young brother dem. He want yor to enjoy yor life and be happy. So try your best to follow Paul advice and do more for other people. If you do it, you will enjoy your life now-now and you will “get a firm hold on the real life” that will come in the future.—1 Tim. 6:18, 19.

YA NIITIƐ ƔAA WOTE ƔƐ LE?

  • Zɛɓɛi e maa wolia Maki na po-kɔ̃ɔ-mai zu?

  • Ya leve ɣɛ le e vile Temete wɔwɔ-wogi zu ga velei ya numaa zo da?

  • Tɛnɛ zɛɓɛi Pɔɔ feeni ya ɓɔ nu niinɛitiɛ va ga te niitiɛ ɣɛ te deʋea ga te kɛ Jehova ʋeli ʋai zu?

GUI 80 “Taste and See That Jehovah Is Good”

a Peter wor somebody who not use to hide his feelings. So it wor easy for him to explain to Mark how Jesus use to feel and act in different-different situations. That the reason why Mark write plenty thing dem about the way Jesus use to feel and the thing dem he use to do.—Mark 3:5; 7:34; 8:12.

b WETIN THE PICTURE SAYING?: Mark helping Paul and Barnabas on their missionary trip. Timothy visiting the congregation to encourage the brother dem and make their faith strong.
