(UMathewu 13:24-26) UJesu wabatshela omunye umzekeliso: ‘UMbuso wezulu unjengomuntu owahlanyela inhlanyelo enhle ensimini yakhe. 25 Kodwa kwathi ngesikhathi wonke umuntu elele, isitha sakhe seza sahlanyela ukhula phakathi kwengqoloyi, sahamba. 26 Kwathi ingqoloyi isikhahlele yabumba amazimba ukhula lalo lwavela.

“Khangelani, Mina Ngilani Insuku Zonke”

2 Izehlakalo ezenzakala ensimini yomlimi zitshengisa isikhathi lendlela uJesu azaqoqa ngayo abanjengengqoloyi phakathi kwabantu, okutsho amaKhristu agcotshiweyo azabusa laye eMbusweni wakhe. Ukuhlanyela kwaqalisa ngePhentekhosti lika-33 C.E. Ukuqoqwa kuzapheleliswa ngesikhathi abagcotshiweyo abazabe bephila ekucineni komumo wezinto befakwa uphawu okokucina besebehanjiswa ezulwini. UKUNAKEKELWA NGUJESU NGONANZELELO

3 Ikhulu lesibili C.E. lisanda kuqalisa, ‘ukhula lwavela’ lapho amaKhristu amanga eqalisa ukubonakala emhlabeni wonke. (Mat. 13:26) Ekhulwini lesine, inani lamaKhristu anjengokhula laselisedlula khatshana elamaKhristu agcotshiweyo. 4 Ekhuluma ngengqoloyi lokhula uJesu wathi: “Kuyekeleni kukhule ndawonye kuze kube yisikhathi sokuvuna.” Umlayo lo uveza ukuthi kusukela ekhulwini lokuqala kuze kufike khathesi, amaKhristu agcotshiweyo afananiswa lengqoloyi abelokhu ekhona emhlabeni. Umcijo lo uphinda usekelwe yilokhu okwakhulunywa nguJesu ngemva kwesikhathi esithile etshela abafundi bakhe esithi: “Mina ngilani insuku zonke kuze kube sekupheleni kwesikhathi.” (Mat. 28:20, The Holy Bible in Ndebele) Ngakho-ke amaKhristu agcotshiweyo ayezaqhubeka evikelwa nguJesu izinsuku zonke kuze kufike isikhathi sokucina. Kodwa njengoba ayesekhulelwe ngamaKhristu amanga, asilaqiniso ukuthi ngobani sibili ababebumba iqembu lengqoloyi kulesosikhathi eside. Lanxa kunjalo kusasele amatshumi eminyaka ukuthi isikhathi sokuvuna siqalise, abanjengengqoloyi baqalisa ukubonakala. Kwenzakala njani lokhu?

10 Esokuqala, yikuqoqwa kokhula. UJesu uthi: ‘Ngesikhathi sokuvuna ngizakuthi kubavuni: Qalani ngokuqoqa ukhula lilubophe izinyanda.’ Ngemva kuka-1914, izingilosi zaqalisa ‘ukuqoqa’ amaKhristu alukhula ngokuwehlukanisa ‘lamadodana ombuso’ agcotshiweyo.—Mat. 13:30, 38, 41.

11 Njengoba umsebenzi wokuqoqa wawuthuthuka, ukungafanani kwamaqembu la amabili kwaqhubeka kucaca. (Isam. 18:1, 4) Ngo-1919 kwasekusegcekeni ukuthi iBhabhiloni eNkulu yayisiwile. Kuyini okwakusenza ukuthi kukhanye ukuthi kulomahluko omkhulu phakathi kwamaKhristu eqiniso lawamanga? Ngumsebenzi wokutshumayela. Ababekhokhela baqalisa ukugcizelela ukuthi kuqakathekile ukuthi uMfundi weBhayibhili munye ngamunye enze umsebenzi wokutshumayela ngoMbuso. Ngokwesibonelo iphetshana eladindwa ngo-1919 elalilesihloko esithi, To Whom the Work Is Entrusted, lakhuthaza wonke amaKhristu agcotshiweyo ukuthi atshumayele indlu ngendlu. Lalisithi: “Umsebenzi lo ukhanya unzima kodwa ngoweNkosi futhi ngamandla ayo sizaphumelela ukuwenza. Kuyisibusiso ukuba ngomunye wabawenzayo.” Bakwamukela njani lokhu? INqabayokulinda ka-1922 ilandisa ukuthi, kusukela khonapho bawuthuthukisa umsebenzi wabo wokutshumayela. Yikho-ke umsebenzi wokutshumayela indlu ngendlu wahle waba luphawu lwamaKhristu la athembekileyo futhi ulokhu uluphawu lwawo lalamuhla.

12 Esesibili yikuqoqwa kwengqoloyi. UJesu ulaya izingilosi zakhe esithi: ‘Qoqani amabele liwalethe esiphaleni sami.’ (Mat. 13:30) Kusukela ngo-1919 abagcotshiweyo bebeqoqwa belethwa ebandleni lobuKhristu elavuselelwayo. Isiphrofetho esiku-Isaya 42:3 sakhuluma ngozwela lukaJesu, ukuthi kasoze acitshe inhlansi yethemba yabantu abathobekileyo labathwele nzima.

Ubukwazi Yini?

Kuliqiniso yini ukuthi endulo umuntu wayengangena ensimini yomunye ahlanyele ukhula?

KUMATHEWU 13:24-26 uJesu wathi: “UMbuso wezulu unjengomuntu owahlanyela inhlanyelo enhle ensimini yakhe. Kodwa kwathi ngesikhathi wonke umuntu elele, isitha sakhe seza sahlanyela ukhula phakathi kwengqoloyi, sahamba. Kwathi ingqoloyi isikhahlele yabumba amazimba ukhula lalo lwavela.” Abanye abalobi abatshiyeneyo bayakwala ukuthi lokhu uJesu akutshoyo emzekelisweni lo kwakusenzakala sibili kudala. Kodwa izingwalo zasendulo zomthetho wamaRoma ziyakuveza ukuthi lokhu kwakusenzakala.

Esinye isichazamazwi seBhayibhili sithi: “Ukuhlanyela ukhula ensimini yomunye ukuze uphindisele . . . kwakulicala emthethweni wamaRoma. Khona nje ukuthi kwakulomthetho owawusenqabela isenzo lesi kutshengisa ukuthi abantu babekwenza lokhu.” Ingcitshi yezomthetho okuthiwa ngu-Alastair Kerr iveza ukuthi ngo-533 C.E., uMbusi weRoma uJustinian wabhala ibhuku lakhe elalifinqa umthetho wamaRoma njalo ecaphuna lamanye amazwi ayekhulunywa ngabatshutshisi ababephatha amacala ngeminyaka yabo-100 kusiya ku-250 C.E. (UMathewu 14:16, 17) UJesu waphendula wathi, “Kakudingeki ukuthi bahambe. Bapheni lina ukudla.” 17 Baphendula bathi, “Thina esilakho lapha yizinkwa ezinhlanu lezinhlanzi ezimbili.”

Ukupha Abanengi Ukudla Kusetshenziswa Izandla Ezilutshwana

2 UJesu uthi ebona lelixuku labantu elikhulu, alizwele usizi abesesilisa abagulayo futhi alifundise izinto ezinengi eziphathelane loMbuso kaNkulunkulu. Kuthi sekuntambama abafundi bakhe bamtshela ukuthi kayekele abantu bahambe ukuze bayezithengela ukudla emizini eseduzane. Kodwa uJesu uthi kubafundi bakhe: “Bapheni lina ukudla.” Kumele ukuthi amazwi akhe ayabamangalisa, ngoba ukudla abalakho kulutshwana kakhulu, izinkwa ezinhlanu lokuzinhlanzi okungatsholutho.

(UMathewu 14:18, 19) Wathi, “Kuletheni lapha.” 19 Wasetshela abantu ukuthi kabahlale phansi etshanini. Wasethatha izinkwa zonhlanu lezinhlanzi zombili wakhangela ezulwini wabonga, wasehlephula izinkwa. Waseziqhubela abafundi, abafundi labo bazinika abantu.

Ukupha Abanengi Ukudla Kusetshenziswa Izandla Ezilutshwana

3 Efuqwa yisihawu, uJesu wenza isimangaliso, okuyiso sodwa esibhalwe kuwo womane amaVangeli. (Makho 6:35-44; Luka. 9:10-17; Joha. 6:1-13) UJesu uthuma abafundi bakhe ukuthi batshele abantu ukuthi bahlale phansi etshanini babe ngu-50 kumbe 100 iqembu ngalinye. Ngemva kokubonga, uhlephula izinkwa kanye lezinhlanzi. Kulokuthi yena anike abantu, uJesu ‘uqhubela abafundi, abafundi labo bazinika abantu.’ Kuyisimanga ukuthi ukudla kwenela bonke abantu kuze kusale! Akucabange: UJesu usephe izinkulungwane zabantu ukudla esebenzisa izandla ezilutshwana, abafundi bakhe.

(UMathewu 14:20, 21) Bonke badla basutha, abafundi bakhe babutha imvuthu ezasalayo bagcwalisa izitsha ezilitshumi lambili. 21 Inani lalabo abadlayo lalingaba ngamadoda ayizinkulungwane ezinhlanu, ngaphandle kwabesifazana labantwana.

Ixuku lamadoda angu-5 000 kungabalwa abesifazana labantwana, liloJesu labafundi bakhe endaweni esesikhaleni eduze leBhethisayida, esabelweni esisenyakatho ekhunjini loLwandle lwaseGalile.

(UMathewu 15:7-9) Lina bazenzisi! u-Isaya wayeqondile aze aphrofethe ngani athi: “Lababantu bangihlonipha ngezindebe zabo, kodwa izinhliziyo zabo zikhatshana kwami. Bangikhonza ngeze; izimfundiso zabo yimithetho kuphela efundiswa ngabantu.”

“Ucabanga Izinto Zikabani?”

(UMathewu 16:21) Kusukela ngalesosikhathi uJesu waqalisa ukuchazela abafundi bakhe ukuthi wayemele aye eJerusalema ayehlupheka ngezinto ezinengi ezandleni zabadala, abaphristi abakhulu labafundisi bomthetho, njalo lokuthi wayemele abulawe kuthi ngelanga lesithathu avuswe aphile. (UMathewu 16:22, NW) UPhetro uthe esizwa lokhu wamdonsela eceleni, wamkhuza esithi: “Zizwele isihawu Nkosi; lokho ngeke kwenzeke kuwe loba sekutheni.”

17 Kwesinye isenzakalo, uJesu wachazela abaphostoli bakhe ukuthi kumelwe aye eJerusalema nokuthi wayeyoshushiswa lapho ‘ngamadoda amadala nabapristi abakhulu nababhali, abulawe, avuswe ngosuku lwesithathu.’ Lapho ezwa lokhu, uPetru wambizela eceleni uJesu wamkhuza, ethi: “Yiba nomusa kuwe, Nkosi; ngeke neze ube nalesi siphetho.” Kusobala ukuthi umbono kaPetru wawufiphazwe umzwelo. Wayedinga ukulungiswa. Ngakho, uJesu wathi kuye: “Yana emva kwami, Sathane! Uyisikhubekiso kimi, ngoba awucabangi imicabango kaNkulunkulu, kodwa eyabantu.”—Mathewu 16:21-23.

Qaphela! USathane Ukufuna Ngabomvu

16 USathane angenelisa lokuqila izinceku zikaJehova ezikhutheleyo. Ngokwesibonelo, ake sikhangele ukuthi kwahamba njani lapho uJesu etshela abafundi bakhe ukuthi kwasekuseduze ukuthi abulawe. UPhetro wathi esizwa lokhu wambizela eceleni wathi kuye: “Woba lomusa kuwe, Nkosi; lokhu kakusoze kwafa kwenzakala kuwe.” Lanxa uPhetro wayengabe engahlosanga okubi, uJesu wamphendula wathi: “Yana emva kwami, Sathane!” (Mat. 16:22, 23, NW) Kungani uJesu wabiza uPhetro ngokuthi “Sathane”? Wayekwazi ukuthi sasesizafika isikhathi sokuthi afe ukuze abe ngumhlatshelo wenhlawulo futhi atshengise ukuthi uDeveli ungusomangase. Lesi kwakungayisiso sikhathi sokuthi uJesu abe ‘lomusa kuye.’ Kwakuyisikhathi esiqakatheke kakhulu ngenxa yokuthi ukufa kwakhe kwakuzahlenga abantu. Ngabe uJesu waphongulibala kancane nje iqhinga likaSathane lalizabe liphumelele.

17 Lathi siphila esikhathini esinzima kakhulu ngoba ukuphela sekuseduze. USathane ufuna “sibe lomusa” kithi kulokuthi sihlale silindile. Uzama ukusiyenga ukuthi sigijimisane lezinto zomhlaba lo ezingabangela ukuthi sicine sikhohlwa ukuthi ukuphela sekuseduze. Yikho-ke kasihlaleni ‘silindile’ singavumi ukuqilwa sikhangele! (Mat. 24:42) Akumelanga siwakholwe amanga aluhlaza afafazwa nguSathane ezama ukusiyenga esithi ukuphela kukhatshana kumbe ngeke kwafa kwafika.

(UMathewu 16:24, NW) UJesu wasesithi kubafundi bakhe: “Loba ngubani ofuna ukungilandela, kazidele, athathe isigodo sakhe sokuhlutshwa, aqhubeke engilandela.

‘Hambani Niyokwenza Abafundi, Nibabhapathize’

9 Ukulandela isibonelo sikaJesu sokwenza intando kaNkulunkulu kuhilelani? UJesu wathi kubafundi bakhe: “Uma umuntu efuna ukungilandela, makazidele athathe isigxobo sakhe sokuhlushwa angilandele njalo.” (Mathewu 16:24) Zintathu izinto azichaza lapha. Okokuqala ukuba ‘sizidele.’ Ngamanye amazwi, siyenqaba ukubuswa ukuthambekela kwethu kokungapheleli kobugovu, samukele iseluleko nesiqondiso sikaNkulunkulu. Okwesibili, ‘sithatha isigxobo sethu sokuhlushwa.’ Ngosuku lukaJesu isigxobo sokuhlushwa sasifanekisela ihlazo nokuhlupheka. NjengamaKristu, siyavuma ukuthi siyohlupheka ngenxa yezindaba ezinhle. (2 Thimothewu 1:8) Nakuba izwe lingase lisiklolodele noma lisigxeke, ‘siyalidelela ihlazo’ njengoKristu, sethaba ngokwazi ukuthi sithokozisa uNkulunkulu. (Hebheru 12:2) Okokugcina, silandela uJesu “njalo.”—IHubo 73:26; 119:44; 145:2.

(UMathewu 16:18) Yikho ngiyakutshela ukuthi unguPhetro, njalo phezu kwalelidwala ngizakwakha ibandla lami, futhi amasango aseHadesi akayikulahlula.

unguPhetro, njalo phezu kwalelidwala: Ibala lesiGrikhi elithi peʹtros elisetshenziswa kwabesilisa litsho “isiqephu sedwala, loba ilitshe.” Lapha lisetshenziswe njengebizo qho (Phetro), ngesiGrikhi okuyilo ibizo uJesu alinika uSimoni. (Joh 1:42) Elesifazana elithi peʹtra litsho “idwala,” njalo lingatsho idwala eliyisisekelo loba idwala elikhulu. Ibala leli lesiGrikhi liyatholakala kuMt 7:24, 25; 27:60; Luk 6:48; 8:6; Ro 9:33; 1Khor 10:4; 1Phe 2:8. Kufanele ukuthi uPhetro kazange azibone eyilo idwala lapho uJesu ayezakwakhela khona ibandla lakhe ngoba ku-1Phe 2:4-8 wathi kwakukhulunywe kudala ukuthi uJesu nguye “ilitshe lengosi” loba ilitshe eliyisisekelo, elikhethwe nguNkulunkulu. incwadi yesahlukaniso: Kumbe “incwadi yokuchitha umtshado.” UMthetho wawusithi indoda esifuna ukwehlukana lomkayo kumele imlobele incwadi esemthethweni, mhlawumbe iye lasebadaleni bako-Israyeli ngodaba lolu. Lokhu kwakuyinika isikhathi sokuthi icabangisise ngalokho eyayisikhethe ukukwenza hlezi intshintshe ingqondo. UMthetho lo wawenzelwe ukuthi abantu bangachithi umtshado mahlayana nje futhi uvikela abesifazana.
