18 Just as her life was slipping away* (for she was dying), she named him Ben-oʹni,* but his father called him Benjamin.*+19 So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephʹrath, that is, Bethʹle·hem.+
38 However, he said: “My son will not go down with you, because his brother is dead and he alone is left.+ If a fatal accident should befall him on the journey you would make, then you would certainly bring down my gray hairs to the Grave*+ in grief.”+
20 So we said to my master, ‘We do have an aged father and a child of his old age, the youngest.+ But his brother is dead,+ so he is the only remaining son of his mother,+ and his father loves him.’
