1 After the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, Jehovah said to Joshua*+ the son of Nun, the minister+ of Moses:

6 Be courageous and strong,+ for you are the one who will cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their forefathers I would give to them.+

32 So Jephʹthah went to fight against the Amʹmon·ites, and Jehovah gave them into his hand.
