5 And the people kept speaking against God and Moses,+ saying: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no food and no water,+ and we* have come to hate* this contemptible bread.”+

16 and fed you with manna+ in the wilderness, which your fathers had not known, in order to humble you+ and to put you to the test so as to benefit you in the future.+

11 And they began to eat the produce of the land the day after the Passover, unleavened bread+ and roasted grains, on this same day. 12 Then the manna stopped on the day following when they had eaten some of the produce of the land; there was no longer manna for the Israelites,+ but they began to eat the produce of the land of Caʹnaan in that year.+

31 Our forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness,+ just as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”+ 32 Jesus then said to them: “Most truly I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. It is not as when your forefathers ate and yet died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”+
