17 “‘If a man has sexual relations with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother, and he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace.+ They must be cut off* before the eyes of the sons of their people. He has exposed his sister to shame.* He should answer for his error.

22 “‘Cursed is the one who lies down with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’+ (And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’)

10 Amʹnon now said to Taʹmar: “Bring the food* into the bedroom, so that I may eat it from your hand.” So Taʹmar took the heart-shaped cakes that she had made and brought them to her brother Amʹnon in the bedroom. 11 When she brought them for him to eat, he grabbed her and said: “Come, lie down with me, my sister.” 12 But she said to him: “No, my brother! Do not humiliate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel.+ Do not do this disgraceful thing.+
