22 He may eat the bread of his God from the most holy things+ and from the holy things.+

10 “‘No unauthorized person* may eat anything holy.+ No foreign guest of a priest or hired worker may eat anything holy.

4 But the priest answered David: “There is no ordinary bread on hand, but there is holy bread+—provided that the young men have kept away from women.”*+

6 So the priest gave him the holy bread,+ because there was no bread there except the showbread, which had been removed from Jehovah’s presence to be replaced by fresh bread on the day it was taken away.

3 He said to them: “Have you not read what David did when he and the men with him were hungry?+ 4 How he entered into the house of God and they ate the loaves of presentation,*+ something that it was not lawful for him or those with him to eat, but for the priests only?+

3 But in reply Jesus said to them: “Have you never read what David did when he and the men with him were hungry?+ 4 How he entered into the house of God and received the loaves of presentation* and ate and gave some to the men with him, which it is not lawful for anyone to eat but for the priests only?”+
