53 And the Levites should encamp around the tabernacle of the Testimony, so that no indignation may arise against the assembly of the Israelites;+ and the Levites must be responsible for the care of* the tabernacle of the Testimony.”+

6 “Bring the tribe of Leʹvi+ forward, and stand them before Aaron the priest, and they will minister+ to him.

4 “This is the service of the sons of Koʹhath in the tent of meeting.+ It is something most holy:

8 “At that time Jehovah set apart the tribe of Leʹvi+ to carry the ark of Jehovah’s covenant,+ to stand before Jehovah in order to minister to him, and to bless in his name,+ as they do to this day.
