21 So Eʹdom refused to allow Israel to pass through his territory; therefore, Israel turned away from him.+

8 So we passed by our brothers, the descendants of Eʹsau,+ who are dwelling in Seʹir, keeping away from the way of the Arʹa·bah, from Eʹlath and from Eʹzi·on-geʹber.+

“Next we turned and traveled by the way of the wilderness of Moʹab.+

18 When they walked through the wilderness, they bypassed the land of Eʹdom+ and the land of Moʹab. They traveled east of the land of Moʹab+ and camped in the region of the Arʹnon; they did not come within the boundary of Moʹab,+ for the Arʹnon was the boundary of Moʹab.
