13 So Jehovah’s anger blazed against Israel and he made them wander about in the wilderness for 40 years,+ until all the generation that was doing evil in the eyes of Jehovah came to its end.+

38 And Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the order of Jehovah and died there in the 40th year after the Israelites left the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.+
