21 “Now see that I have given to the sons of Leʹvi every tenth part+ in Israel as an inheritance in return for the service they are carrying out, the service of the tent of meeting.

27 And do not neglect the Levite who is inside your cities,+ for he has no share or inheritance with you.+

4 Furthermore, he commanded the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and the Levites,+ so that they might adhere strictly* to the law of Jehovah.

38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, must be with the Levites when the Levites collect the tenth; and the Levites should offer up a tenth of the tenth to the house of our God,+ to the rooms* of the storehouse. 39 For it is to the storerooms* that the Israelites and the sons of the Levites should bring the contribution+ of the grain, the new wine, and the oil,+ and that is where the utensils of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, the gatekeepers, and the singers. We will not neglect the house of our God.+

8 “Will a mere human rob God? But you are robbing me.”

And you say: “How have we robbed you?”

“In the tithes* and in the contributions.
