14 You will put the poles through the rings on the sides of the Ark in order to carry the Ark with them.

9 But he did not give any to the sons of Koʹhath because their duties involved the service of the holy place,+ and they carried the holy things on their shoulders.+

14 So when the people departed from their tents just before crossing the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark+ of the covenant went ahead of the people.
