5 Rather, seek Jehovah your God wherever he chooses to establish his name and his place of residence among all your tribes, and go there.+ 6 That is where you are to bring your burnt offerings,+ your sacrifices, your tithes,*+ the contribution from your hand,+ your vow offerings, your voluntary offerings,+ and the firstborn of your herd and flock.+

28 Now pay attention to the prayer of your servant and to his request for favor, O Jehovah my God, and listen to the cry for help and to the prayer that your servant is praying before you today. 29 May your eyes be open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which you said, ‘My name will be there,’+ to listen to the prayer that your servant prays toward this place.+
