5 “Instead, this is what you should do to them: Tear down their altars, break up their sacred pillars,+ cut down their sacred poles,*+ and burn up their graven images.+

15 Jehovah will strike Israel down like a reed that sways in the water, and he will uproot Israel off this good land that he gave to their forefathers,+ and he will scatter them beyond the River,*+ because they made their sacred poles,*+ offending Jehovah.

33 Aʹhab also made the sacred pole.*+ Aʹhab did more to offend Jehovah the God of Israel than all the kings of Israel prior to him.
