38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, must be with the Levites when the Levites collect the tenth; and the Levites should offer up a tenth of the tenth to the house of our God,+ to the rooms* of the storehouse.

12 And all Judah brought in the tenth+ of the grain, the new wine, and the oil to the storerooms.+ 13 Then I put Shel·e·miʹah the priest, Zaʹdok the copyist,* and Pe·daiʹah of the Levites in charge of the storerooms, and Haʹnan the son of Zacʹcur the son of Mat·ta·niʹah was their assistant, for these men were considered reliable. It was their responsibility to make the distribution to their brothers.
