6 My days go by more quickly than a weaver’s shuttle,+

And they come to an end without hope.+

14 “Man, born of woman,

Is short-lived+ and filled with trouble.*+

 2 He comes up like a blossom and then withers away;*+

He flees like a shadow and disappears.+

 5 Indeed, you have made my days just a few;*+

And my life span is as nothing before you.+

15 As for mortal man, his days are like those of grass;+

He blooms like a blossom of the field.+

16 But when a wind blows, it is no more,

As though it was never there.*
