42 But Jehovah said to me, ‘Tell them: “You must not go up and fight, for I will not be with you.+ If you do, you will be defeated by your enemies.”’

4 for Jehovah your God is marching with you to fight for you against your enemies and to save you.’+

12 Therefore, the Israelites will not be able to stand against their enemies. They will turn their backs and flee from their enemies, because they have become something devoted to destruction. I will not be with you again unless you annihilate from your midst what was devoted to destruction.+
