25 Jehovah then said this to Moses: 26 “Take an inventory of the plunder, counting the captives both of humans and animals; do this together with El·e·aʹzar the priest and the heads of the paternal houses of the assembly. 27 Divide what was plundered into two parts to be shared between those in the army who took part in the battle and all the rest of the assembly.+

12 It was then, on the day that Jehovah routed the Amʹor·ites before the eyes of the Israelites, that Joshua said to Jehovah before Israel:

16 Meanwhile, the five kings fled and hid in the cave at Mak·keʹdah.+

7 These are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the Israelites defeated on the west side of the Jordan, from Baʹal-gad+ in the Valley of Lebʹa·non+ and as far as Mount Haʹlak,+ which goes up to Seʹir,+ after which Joshua gave their land to the tribes of Israel as a possession by their shares,+

No spoil of silver did they take.+
