27 For this you gave them into the hand of their adversaries,+ who kept causing them distress.+ But they would cry out to you in the time of their distress, and you would hear from the heavens; and because of your great mercy, you would give them saviors to rescue them out of the hand of their adversaries.+

9 But I acted for the sake of my name so that it would not be profaned before the nations among whom they were living.+ For I made myself known to them* before these nations when I brought them* out of the land of Egypt.+
