15 Remember his covenant forever,

The promise he made,* to a thousand generations,+

16 The covenant he made with Abraham,+

And the oath he swore to Isaac,+

17 Which he established as a decree to Jacob+

And as a lasting covenant to Israel,

18 Saying, ‘I will give you the land of Caʹnaan+

As your allotted inheritance.’+

 9 In the night I long for you with my whole being,*

Yes, my spirit keeps looking for you;+

For when there are judgments from you for the earth,

The inhabitants of the land learn about righteousness.+
