3 A bull well knows its buyer,

And a donkey the manger of its owner;

But Israel does not know me,*+

My own people do not behave with understanding.”

32 Can a virgin forget her ornaments,

A bride her breastbands?*

 3 They bend their tongue like a bow;

Falsehood, not faithfulness, prevails in the land.+

“They advance from evil to evil,

And they pay no attention to me,”+ declares Jehovah.
