  • 2 Chronicles 32:21, 22
    New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures
    • 21 Then Jehovah sent an angel and wiped out every mighty warrior,+ leader, and chief in the camp of the king of As·syrʹi·a, so that he went back to his own land in disgrace. He later entered the house* of his god, and there some of his own sons struck him down with the sword.+ 22 So Jehovah saved Hez·e·kiʹah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of King Sen·nachʹer·ib of As·syrʹi·a and from the hand of all others and gave them rest on every side.

  • Isaiah 30:31
    New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures
    • 31 For because of the voice of Jehovah, As·syrʹi·a will be struck with terror;+

      He will strike it with a rod.+

  • Isaiah 31:8
    New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures
    •  8 And the As·syrʹi·an will fall by the sword, not of a man;

      And a sword, not of a human, will devour him.+

      He will flee because of the sword,

      And his young men will be put to forced labor.

  • Isaiah 37:36, 37
    New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures
    • 36 And the angel of Jehovah went out and struck down 185,000 men in the camp of the As·syrʹi·ans. When people rose up early in the morning, they saw all the dead bodies.+ 37 So King Sen·nachʹer·ib of As·syrʹi·a departed and returned to Ninʹe·veh+ and stayed there.+
