5 Jehovah has broken the rod of the wicked,

The staff of the rulers,+

 6 The one furiously striking peoples with unceasing blows,+

The one angrily subduing nations with relentless persecution.+

I profaned my inheritance,+

And I gave them into your hand.+

16 Therefore all those devouring you will be devoured,+

And all your enemies will also go into captivity.+

Those pillaging you will be pillaged,

And I will hand all those plundering you over to plundering.”+
