7 “Remember—never forget—the way you provoked Jehovah your God in the wilderness.+ From the day that you left the land of Egypt until your coming to this place, you have rebelled against Jehovah.+

8 They are doing just as they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day; they keep forsaking me+ and serving other gods,+ and that is what they are doing to you.
