3 Surely it was by the order of Jehovah that this happened to Judah, to remove them from his sight+ because of all the sins that Ma·nasʹseh had committed,+ 4 and also the innocent blood that he had shed,+ for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood and Jehovah was not willing to forgive.+

37 They have committed adultery,*+ and there is blood on their hands. Not only have they committed adultery with their disgusting idols, but they have also made their sons whom they bore to me pass through the fire as food for their idols.+
