126 When Jehovah gathered back the captives of Zion,+

We thought we were dreaming.

14 I will gather back the captives of my people Israel,+

And they will rebuild the desolated cities and inhabit them;+

They will plant vineyards and drink their wine,+

And make gardens and eat their fruit.’+

12 I will certainly gather all of you, O Jacob;

I will surely collect the remaining ones of Israel together.+

In unity I will place them, like sheep in the pen,

Like a flock in its pasture;+

It will be noisy with people.’+

10 Writhe and groan, O daughter of Zion,

Like a woman giving birth,

For now you will go from the city and reside in the field.

You will go as far as to Babylon,+

And there you will be rescued;+

There Jehovah will buy you back from the hand of your enemies.+

20 At that time I will bring you in,

At the time I gather you together.

For I will make you an object of fame* and praise+ among all the peoples of the earth,

When I gather back your captives before your eyes,” says Jehovah.+
