17 While going up to Jerusalem, Jesus took the 12 disciples aside privately and said to them on the road:+ 18 “Look! We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death+ 19 and hand him over to men of the nations to be mocked and scourged and executed on a stake;+ and on the third day he will be raised up.”+

31 Also, he began teaching them that the Son of man must undergo many sufferings and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed,+ and rise three days later.+

31 For he was teaching his disciples and telling them: “The Son of man is going to be betrayed into men’s hands, and they will kill him,+ but despite being killed, he will rise three days later.”+

22 but he said: “The Son of man must undergo many sufferings and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed,+ and on the third day be raised up.”+

31 Then he took the Twelve aside and said to them: “Look! We are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things written by means of the prophets about the Son of man will be accomplished.*+ 32 For instance, he will be handed over to men of the nations+ and will be mocked+ and treated insolently and spat on.+ 33 And after scourging him, they will kill him,+ but on the third day he will rise.”+
