72 Immediately a rooster crowed a second time,+ and Peter recalled what Jesus had said to him: “Before a rooster crows twice, you will disown me three times.”+ And he broke down and began to weep.

60 But Peter said: “Man, I do not know what you are saying.” And instantly, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
