12 So he sighed deeply in his spirit and said: “Why does this generation seek a sign?+ Truly I say, no sign will be given to this generation.”+

18 Therefore, in response the Jews said to him: “What sign can you show us,+ since you are doing these things?”

22 For the Jews ask for signs+ and the Greeks look for wisdom;
