19 So they said to Moses: “You speak with us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak with us, for fear that we will die.”+

5 I was standing between Jehovah and you at that time+ to convey to you the word of Jehovah, for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain.+ He said:

17 Because the Law was given through Moses,+ the undeserved kindness+ and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ.+
