5 Slaves, be obedient to your human* masters,+ with fear and trembling in the sincerity of your hearts, as to the Christ, 6 not only when being watched, just to please men,*+ but as Christ’s slaves doing the will of God whole-souled.*+

9 Let slaves be in subjection to their owners in all things,+ trying to please them, not talking back,

18 Let servants be in subjection to their masters with all due fear,+ not only to the good and reasonable but also to those hard to please.
