36 Then the king summoned Shimʹe·i+ and said to him: “Build yourself a house in Jerusalem, and live there; do not go out from there to any other place. 37 On the day you go out and cross the Kidʹron Valley,+ you can be sure that you will die. Your blood will be on your own head.”
