29 So may it please you to bless the house of your servant, and may it continue forever before you;+ for you, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah, have promised, and with your blessing may the house of your servant be blessed forever.”+

4 However, on account of David,+ Jehovah his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem+ by raising up his son after him and keeping Jerusalem in existence.

19 But Jehovah did not want to bring Judah to ruin for the sake of David his servant,+ since he had promised him to give a lamp to him+ and to his sons always.
